SMART Tips: The Bathroom Priority Box

Filed under: General Moving Tips, Residential Moving Tips — SMARTBOX @ 9:27 am

At SMARTBOX, we have previously talked about priority boxes as part of your moving and how much easier it can make it when you are unpacking and getting settled into your new home. A priority box is a special box that holds the items for a particular room that you will need to have access to within the first 24 to 48 hours in your new home. Priority boxes are essential for the kitchen as well as tools that you will probably need access to right away. Make sure you label all of your priority boxes so you can find them quickly on moving day. SMARTBOX recommends packing your priority boxes last in your portable moving container, so that they are the first boxes unpacked at your new home.

Don’t overlook the bathroom! One of the top things people want to do after a long, hard day of moving is to take a nice hot, relaxing shower. Pack a priority box for your bathroom and have easy access to those essential items you need. Make sure you have the following items in your bathroom priority box:

shower curtain, liner and shower curtain rings
bath mat
towels for every member of the family
toilet paper
bar of soap
shampoo and conditioner
